Pentathlon DF contains the only chemical that will actually kill blackspot spores. If you already have blackspot, then Funginex, Clearys, Banner Maxx, Compass, or any other preventative won't be very effective. You need Pentathlon DF to kill the spores and get your blackspot under control. To do that, spray Pentathlon DF at a rate of 1 tablespoon per gallon. Spray every three days for three spray intervals and then your blackspot should be under control. At that time you can go back to your regular preventative program. Pentathlon DF can be mixed safely with Funginex, Banner Maxx or Compass.
